About Cosmetic Brushes

Concealer brush

Not many of us were born with perfect skin. Concealer is used to hide those few blemishes. Most people simply use their finger to apply concealer on a spot. A small concealer brush does a better job. You just need to pick the right amount of concealer with the brush and apply it gently on the spot. If you plan to apply foundation, you have to conceal all the spots first. Remember to thoroughly wash the concealer brush or the next application will be cumbersome.

Eye shadow brush

Eye shadow brushes come in many shapes and designs. You need two eye shadow brushes: the flat stiff eyeshadow brush and the crease brush. The former is used to apply the eyeshadow on the lid. It is a medium sized brush that is smaller than your eyelid so that it can swipe across the lid. The crease brush is smaller and tighter. It is used to add depth to the crease and corners of the eyes.

The spoolie is a cosmetic brush that resembles a mascara wand. It is used to gently put the eyebrows in line. It is also used to apply eyebrow gel. Advanced users use it to soften eyebrow color after lining and filling.

Brow and lash comb

This comb is two-sided. One side has bristles while the other side is a comb. The bristles are used to gently brush and groom eyebrows. The comb side can be used for the same purpose but it is more effective separating eyelashes after mascara application.
